What is a Subluxation?
With chiropractic care, a subluxation is when one or more of your bones in your back or neck are out of place or not functioning properly. A subluxation will put pressure on a nerve in your back or neck which lessens your ability to function normally. Sooner or later, this can cause back pain, neck pain and other pains in your body. It is also possible to have bones out of place and not feel direct pain, while other hidden issues going on in your body, so it is very important to get checked whenever you have an accident or even a question about something not working correctly in your body.
Is Chiropractic Care Safe?
As with all kinds of treatment there are possible risks. However chiropractic care is one of the absolute safest and most non-invasive medical treatments when performed by a well-trained and experienced chiropractor.
Why do I hear a Popping Sound when I get a Chiropractic Care?
When your chiropractor adjusts you, there is a change in internal joint pressure as your joints move gently. Interestingly enough, this releases a gas bubble causing the popping sound. This popping sound is not your bones cracking, as some people think. It is similar to the popping sound you get when you crack your knuckles, which feels good when you do it and does does not cause arthritis or make your knuckles bigger.

Compare Chiropractic Care Education to Medical Doctors
Chiropractors undergo an extensive education to graduate as a Doctor of Chiropractic. The chiropractic curriculum includes a minimum of two years of college, focusing on science, another four years of education on chiropractic care, and then a minimum of 900 hours of experience in a chiropractic care clinic as a chiropractic care intern. After completing this lengthy educational process, a chiropractor is still required to pass all of the post-graduate oral and written board exams, in every state he or she intends to practice chiropractic care, and at the national level.
