New Patients

New to chiropractic care or our office? Here is what you can expect as you begin treatment…

First/Second Visit
During your first visit you will be asked to fill out a health history, the doctor will provide a complimentary consultation and discuss your healthcare concerns and goals with you. This may be that you want back pain relief or shoulder pain relief or maybe you just want to feel better everywhere. If the doctor determines that they are needed, x-rays will be taken. If you have insurance, be sure to bring your insurance card so that our staff can verify your benefits. On your second visit the doctor will go over your x-rays, report what they found and go over your treatment plan.

Phase I Relief Care
If you are in pain when you come into our office, our first goal is to provide you with pain relief. Depending on the severity of the problem the doctor will recommend a treatment plan that is right for you. Please remember that everyone heals at a different rate.

Phase II Corrective/Restorative Care
Once you reach a state of improved health you will be moved to Phase II. During this phase the muscles are allowed to heal more completely. Once you are experiencing pain relief your care will focus more on training the muscles in order to keep your spine and joints in proper alignment. The frequency of your visits will start decreasing during Phase II.

Phase III Maintenance/Wellness Care
Phase III is a maintenance phase where the frequency of your visits are decreased. This phase helps maintain the changes you made during Phase I and II. This may be where the idea that “once I see a chiropractor I will always have to see a chiropractor” comes from. Just like our homes and cars, if we do not maintain them they don’t stay in optimum working condition. Life in general brings with it physical and mental stresses which causes our body to become misaligned. Maintenance Care from one of our chiropractors can help you maintain optimum health and just feel great!
